I am an enthusiastic programmer and currently studying computer science at the University of Applied Sciences OST in Rapperswil, Switzerland. I love to travel with the hammock in the nature and to ride the mountains with the snowboard in the winter.
I grew up in Serneus, a small village near Davos in Graubünden. In the village’s own elementary school I completed the first six years of school.
After that I transferred to the high school in Schiers. However, after four years, I left because it was too theory-oriented.
Our rapidly moving, information-based society badly needs people who know how to find facts rather than memorize them, and who know how to cope with change in creative ways. You don’t learn those things in school.

That’s why I decided to do an apprenticeship at TRUMPF Schweiz AG as a computer scientist specializing in application development. At the same time, I attended the vocational high school so that I would have the opportunity to study at a later date.
Since I have been pursuing the dream of building a house in one of the northern countries Norway, Finland or Sweden for quite some time, I wanted to start this project after finishing my apprenticeship. Unfortunately, during my last year the COVID-19 pandemic started, so traveling abroad became impossible for a longer period of time. Therefore, I decided to take a temporary job in my apprenticeship company. During this time I also moved with my friends Jannik, Lukas and Leci-Andri into a shared apartment in Chur.
As the circumstances had not changed during this year, I decided to study Computer Science at OST. Since I was increasingly interested in artificial intelligence and neural networks, the major field of study in Data Science and Machine Intelligence was an obvious choice. Luckily, one of my former roommates, Lukas, also decided to study in Rapperswil. So we moved out and moved into a small apartment in Rüti, Zurich.
One of the things that may get in the way of people … is that they’re not in touch with their passion. If you’re passionate about what it is you do, then you’re going to be looking for everything you can to get better at it.

After completing the fourth semester at the OST, I decided to take a semester abroad. More specifically, I went to UiS. There, I took courses in Ethical Hacking, Information and Software Security and Data-intensive Systems and Algorithms. Additionally, I have gathered many truly unforgettable memories, especially with Kasper Søegaard Schmidt, a danish guy, and Moritz Bättig from Switzerland.
After my return home i started working on my bachelor thesis in the area of Chatbots and Large Language Models.
